If you're a DIY fanatic, you may already know that baking soda and salt have a ton of skin care uses, but what about an ingredient that's a little sweeter? Sugar is actually pretty useful, from your face down to your toes.
1. Smooth your lips.
Put a little water on your finger, then dip it in granulated sugar and gently apply it in a circular motion to lips to exfoliate them. This is the perfect DIY trick to do in a pinch when your lips are dry or flaky.
2. Soften your skin while you exfoliate.
Mix a cup of brown sugar with a few bananas to create a moisturizing body scrub that smells sweet and leaves your skin looking lovely.
3. Give your body a pretty glow.
Need to prep for sunless tanning? Mix sugar with oil to create a body scrub that works great on your back, legs, and shoulders, allowing you to get the perfect glow.
4. Make your feet feel less rough.
Mix sugar and peppermint oil, then scrub the mixture onto the bottom of your feet while in the shower for an at-home pedicure scrub that sloughs off dead cells and dryness. The peppermint oil has a cooling effect on your skin, making it perfect for those hot summer months.
5. Clean grimy hands.
If you've been busy doing other DIY projects and find it's hard to get tough substances like grease and dirt off your hands at the end of the day, add sugar to soap. It acts as a mild abrasive, allowing you to remove any thick gunk without using harsh chemicals.
6. Get a smoother shave on your legs.
Exfoliate dead skin cells by applying slightly wet granulated brown sugar beforehand in a circular motion, then rinsing. This helps the razor get a closer cut. Bonus: You can tell your favorite guy with a beard to do the same.
7. Keep your hands looking young.
Want gorgeous hands that look youthful and fresh? Mix a cup of brown sugar with 1/3 of a cup of olive oil plus a vitamin E capsule to give yourself an at-home manicure scrub. Rinse, let your hands dry, and you're ready to apply some fantastic nail art.

How to use salt in home beauty remedies
It might surprise you to find out about the many uses and benefits of salt that you can add to your daily beauty routine. The fact is that we don’t hear much about salt in advertising, yet there are many hidden benefits to its use that your skin will thank you for. In this article, we’ll tell you all the things that salt can do for your skin and how to use it to make a fantastic beauty treatment!
1. As a foot soak
After a long day at work we always come home with tired feet – salt might be the solution to fatigue and heel pain. All you need to do is add three or four tablespoons of salt to hot water. Soak the feet in the bath until the water temperature becomes cool.
2.To prevent dandruff
Salt is great when it comes to fighting dirt and grease. For this treatment, we recommend that you check your scalp carefully to make sure you don’t have any small cuts or scrapes. Then take a salt shaker into the shower with you and before you shampoo your hair, sprinkle a little salt on your head and massage it gently into the scalp. It’s important to be gentle so that the salt doesn’t scrape the scalp and cause small wounds, which will be very painful.
3.Removing hair spray
Salt can be useful on the nights that we realize we’ve got a lot of hair spray or product in our hair. Mix a cup of Epsom salts into a liter of water and a cup of lemon juice and let sit for 24 hours. The next day, work the liquid through the hair while it’s completely dry. Leave it in for 20 minutes and then wash as usual. Something more “sophisticated”
4. Whiskey and salt therapy
This treatment is made using sea salt, whiskey, coconut and palm oils, and wheat. It helps improve skin tone and maintain healthy, smooth hair. It’s especially beneficial for men, although women also use it.
5. Salt and champagne therapy
This treatment is made with salt from the mountains, champagne (or sparkling wine), and coconut and palm oils. You can add cedar scents to stimulate blood circulation and the removal of cellulite, as well as resolve problems with fluid retention. It helps restore skin tissues, reducing the signs of aging. Salt and wine therapy This is an excellent antixoidant, and like champagne and salt therapy, it is great for preventing premature aging. It also helps restore tissues and strengthens the cardiovascular system. It’s made of mountain salts, red wine, and coconut and palm oils.
6. As a facial toner
You can also try the following trick to reduce the appearance of oily skin. Put a little warm water in a spray bottle and add a tablespoon of sea salt. Dissolve the salt and make sure it’s not too hot before spraying a bit on your face, avoiding the eye area. Then gently towel dry with short strokes.
7. Puffy eyes
Mix a tablespoon of sea salt in a bowl of hot water. Dip a cotton cloth in the water, lie down, and apply the cloth to your eyes for at least 10 minutes. Make sure you don’t open your eyes to avoid irritation. Rinse well with cold water.

Busty beauty Amber Rose flaunted her curves in all their glory as she hit the beach in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Tuesday. She arrived on the beach in a billowing yellow summer dress but soon removed it to reveal her jaw-dropping shape.
Amber Rose proved that beachwear is all about the accessories when she was spotted enjoying the heat in Hawaii. She teamed her statement blue bikini with these seriously eye-catching sunglasses. They're by Stella McCartney and we love the flat top style and gold chain trim running right across the front.
